My passion for the Senior Industry started long before my career. 

 

I grew up with the most amazing "older generation" grandparents with whom taught me everything about life and business.  My grandmother was later diagnosed with Dementia, then Alzheimer's.  I personally watched the deterioration of my grandmother's mind and then body.  It was heartbreaking.  I also witnessed my grandparents being moved for their home and their community to three different facilities to find the appropriate care they needed.   

 

During this time, my partner, with whom was a Doctor, had multi specialty Medical Practices.  We started offering Mobile Medical Services within the larger Assisted Living Facilities in our area.  I saw first-hand the lack of care Seniors were receiving, the amount of medication Seniors were taking and the astronomical monthly costs they were paying   This was my turning point in my medical career.   I knew I could do better.

 

I started deep diving into how to open my own Assisted Living facility so I could promote change.

 

I became a California Department of Social Services Administrator in 2006.

 

In 2009, I opened my first all level of care Residential Care Facility for Elderly.  This opportunity led to starting a Home Care Agency, due to our wait list for my facility,  and then Mentoring new facility owners.  Colleagues and other families started reaching out to me to help then with more challenging situations and resources.  I became the "Go To" for the industry.

 

In April 2024 I decided to sell my facility.

 

In October 2024  Restore Elder Care Consulting and what is has to offer now was birthed.  This was my re calling  to keep doing more work for facilities, families and elders.
